YOUR CHANCE TO STUDY WITH A MASTER

This introductory class offers you a rare opportunity to study with Martial Arts Master David Wei as he explains the foundational elements and Daoist principles of Qigong. Qi gong quite literally means 'Life Energy Cultivation.' It is a powerful, traditional Chinese practice of aligning breath, movement, and awareness for exercise, healing, and meditation. In this course participants will learn the basic principles of the Wudang Healing Qigong system along with the complete Wudang Five Element Healing Qigong Form. Fundamentals such as posture, alignment, mechanics, balance, and breath will all be transmitted in depth along the course of this workshop intensive. Once participants are familiar with the fun of fundamentals, the subtle patterns of the Five Elementl set can be explored in depth. The Wudang Five Element Qigong system is an age old wellness tradition that has been maintained by the mystical monks of Wudang mountain for centuries. It nourishes the internal organs and facilitates vital functions critical for health and wellness. Through consistent practice, this system has the capacity to reverse sickness and disease as well as improve the quality of life for those that already enjoy good health. In addition to the training, participants will also learn therapeutic breathing methods, self massage and acupressure, as well as basic standing, walking, and seated meditation techniques. Don't miss this opportunity to partake in authentic wellness instruction straight from the mystical mountains of Wudang, China! David is a 16th generation lineage holder for the Wudang San Feng Life Nourishment Sect. He has over 20 years of experience in Daoist arts and culture, with a specialization in Tui Na, a martial modality of acupressure and musculoskeletal alignment. David is also the founder of Wudang West, an Oakland based Heritage Center aimed to practice and preserve the cultural wellness arts of Wudang, China.
